The Samsung Galaxy SL or Samsung Galaxy SL GT-i9003 is an Android smartphone designed and manufactured by Samsung Electronics. It was released in February 2011. It is primarily target is for Indian Market although it is also have been made available on other countries. It is a "stripped down" variant of Samsung Galaxy S. It ships with Android 2.2 (Froyo), although it is upgradeable to Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread). The Samsung Galaxy SL features a WVGA Super Clear LCD display. As of April 2012, Samsung announced that they will release value packs for the Galaxy SL (and other S series phones), instead of releasing Android 4.0 (ICS) for the devices.
